Faith Protection

Protect worship. Protect speech. Protect assembly.

Faith communities should not have to choose between being visible and being safe.

Civil Liberty in Action

Protection is not intimidation. Protection is the condition that lets communities gather.

The Covenant Institute provides Faith Protection services for religious leaders, civic leaders, political leaders, students, educators, nonprofits, and community organizations facing intimidation, disruption, harassment, or security risk because of their faith, public advocacy, or moral convictions.

Our purpose is simple: we help protect the spaces where people worship, speak, gather, learn, protest, organize, and lead.

Faith Protection is not just security. It is civil liberty in action. A free society does not merely say people have the right to assemble. It protects the conditions that make assembly possible.

Covenant Institute is beginning this work in the State of New York and will expand to other cities nationwide as funding permits.

Why Faith Protection Exists

We prepare before crisis becomes the only teacher.

Religious and civic life is entering a more dangerous moment. Faith communities are being targeted. Public events are being disrupted. Religious leaders are being intimidated. Students are being pressured into silence.

Political and community leaders also face hostility for speaking on sensitive issues involving antisemitism, anti-hate, religious liberty, civil rights, and public safety.

No person should be forced into silence because their faith, identity, or convictions make them a target.

What We Protect

The spaces where faith, identity, protest, and public safety intersect.

We support protection planning and licensed security coverage for high-risk or high-visibility gatherings where lawful assembly and public courage need professional support.

Our Standard

Protection without provocation.

Faith Protection is grounded in discipline. The presence of security should calm the environment, not inflame it. It should reassure families, students, worshippers, speakers, and guests that the event has been planned responsibly.

Covenant Institute’s standard is lawful, restrained, professional, and mission-aligned protection.

Prepare for risk without spreading panic. Protect people without dehumanizing opponents. Defend faith communities without turning civil society into a fortress. Support public courage without encouraging recklessness.

The New York Launch

Starting where the need is urgent and visible.

Covenant Institute is launching Faith Protection in New York because it is one of the nation’s most religiously diverse centers of Jewish life, Christian institutions, Muslim communities, universities, public demonstrations, nonprofit conferences, and political leadership.

From New York, the goal is to expand city by city as donor support allows. The long-term vision is a national faith-protection network capable of supporting communities during moments of heightened tension, public controversy, and credible security concern.

Request or Support Faith Protection

Religious freedom is not protected only in courtrooms.

It is protected at synagogue doors, church entrances, mosque gatherings, student forums, public demonstrations, and community events where people decide whether they are safe enough to show up.

Request Faith Protection

For institutions, organizers, and leaders.

Faith Protection services may be requested by religious institutions, civic organizations, nonprofit leaders, event organizers, student groups, and public leaders whose work aligns with the Covenant Institute mission.

  • Event date, time, and location
  • Type of gathering and expected attendance
  • Nature of public visibility or security concern
  • Whether the event involves worship, protest, education, advocacy, or leadership protection
Request Protection

Fund Faith Protection

Turn support into visible protection on the ground.

Many vulnerable communities cannot afford meaningful event protection. Donor support helps fund licensed security coverage for houses of worship, student events, public forums, conferences, summits, protests, and leaders facing intimidation.

  • Help keep a synagogue event open
  • Help a youth forum proceed safely
  • Help a faith leader speak without fear
  • Help public gatherings remain peaceful
